On Saturday, 1st March 2025, St George Abadan Lodge celebrated a truly fantastic evening as we gathered to install W.Bro. Tony Jacobs as our new Master. The event was exceptionally well attended, with brethren and distinguished guests coming together to mark this special occasion in our Lodge’s history.
The installation ceremony was conducted with great sincerity and precision, reflecting the time-honoured traditions of our Lodge. Tony, a practising Solicitor in the City of London, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role, and we are delighted to have him leading us in the year ahead.
During the evening, Tony announced his chosen charity for the year—Medway Street Angels. This remarkable organisation provides vital support to those in need within the Medway community, and we are proud to be backing such a worthy cause under Tony’s stewardship.
Tony’s journey to success is an inspiring one. His story is a testament to the fact that academic struggles at school do not define one’s future. His resilience and determination have shaped his career, proving that hard work and perseverance open doors to great achievements.
The festive board that followed the ceremony was filled with warmth, camaraderie, and excellent dining, with many toasts and well-wishes extended to our new Master. It was an evening that truly embodied the spirit of Freemasonry—brotherhood, charity, and personal growth.
