Roy Coenye serves as the Lodge Director of Ceremonies, a role vital to ensuring the smooth and high-quality execution of our Masonic ceremonies. In addition to directing the proceedings during meetings, Roy oversees and runs our training sessions, known as the Lodge of Instruction. Despite sitting on the left, he is often referred to as the Master’s “right-hand man” due to the importance of his work.

Now retired from full-time employment, Roy has a variety of hobbies and projects. One of his most cherished undertakings is the restoration of a 1965 Volvo Amazon 122S. Impressively, Roy is completing all aspects of the restoration himself, from bodywork and paintwork to the mechanical components.

Roy is also an avid model maker, with a diverse range of interests. He crafts models of planes, boats, cars, and motorcycles using various materials including plastic, wood, and photo-etched metal. If you’re wondering what photo-etched metal is, you’re not alone! Feel free to ask Roy – he’d be happy to explain.

Pictured is Roy hard at work on his car. Don’t worry about the extra pair of hands in the picture – that’s just his granddaughter lending a hand!
