Dmytro Tupchiienko brings a wealth of international experience, academic excellence, and service to both the community and Freemasonry. Born in Ukraine, Dmytro arrived in the United Kingdom in 1997 on a Reuters Foundation Scholarship and later became a proud British citizen.

With more than twenty-five years of professional experience, he has worked as a locum tenens for leading legal and professional services firms, including members of the “Magic Circle” and the “Big 4”. His expertise has taken him across the world, advising on international development projects in Pakistan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Sudan. In 2018, he was called upon as an expert witness before the House of Commons Brexit Select Committee — recognition of his depth of knowledge and professional integrity.

Dmytro holds degrees from the London School of Economics, the Universities of Cambridge, Leeds, Louvain, and Bochum, and lectures in IT and Internet Law as part of an MSc programme in Information Security and Digital Forensics at a London university. He is a member of the Bar in Belgium, Germany, and Ukraine, and a member of Middle Temple in London, currently undertaking his conversion to become an English Barrister. In addition to his legal qualifications, Dmytro is a practising Accountant (in both the UK and Australia), a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator, and a Certified Expert Witness in Forensic Accounting. Fluent in eleven languages, he is also a UK Chartered Linguist.

Service has been a recurring theme throughout Dmytro’s life — from his time as a Special Constable with the City of London Police to his current role as a Detachment Commander within the Army Cadet Force. Beyond his professional and civic commitments, Dmytro is an active member of London’s historic institutions. He is a Freeman of the City of London, Assistant Treasurer to the Aldgate Ward Club, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Companies of Stationers, Glaziers, and Fletchers, a Faculty Member of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, a Juror of the Guildable Manor of Southwark, and a Member of the Tanners Company of Bermondsey. North of the border, he continues his studies in Scottish Law at the University of Aberdeen, where he is a Burgess of Glasgow, a Freeman of the Incorporation of Glasgow Wrights, and an Associate Writer to His Majesty’s Signet.

Masonically, Dmytro’s contribution is equally distinguished. He is a Past Grand Chancellor of the Grand Lodge of Ukraine, Grand Representative of the United Grand Lodge of England to the Grand Lodge of Ukraine, and Grand Representative of the Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree in England and Wales near the Supreme Council for Ukraine. A member of twenty-one appendant bodies across England, Ireland, Germany, France, and Belgium — in several of which he holds Provincial Office — Dmytro currently serves as Treasurer to three masonic units.

Dmytro’s broad experience, intellectual curiosity, and lifelong dedication to service exemplify the finest Masonic values of Integrity, Friendship, Respect, and Service.
