
In 1952, while serving as a Toolmaker Apprentice, Sefton joined the Royal Naval Reserve. By 1954, he was posted aboard HMS Indefatigable, affectionately known as the “Indy”.
As an Able Seaman, Sefton completed a course in Portsmouth, qualifying in Anti-Submarine Detection and Investigation. He was then assigned to the mine sweeper HMS Marvel.
In 1985, Sefton transitioned into a career as a freelance CAD designer, starting with 2D design and later advancing to 3D. His success in this field led to his role as CEO of Acre Design from 1991 to 1996.
Football:
Sefton played for I.P.M. Henleys in the Gravesend Borough League and for All Hallows Football Club, winning the Damply Palmer Cup.
Jujitsu & Wrestling:
He earned a blue belt in Jujitsu and also competed as a professional wrestler.
Running:
Sefton was the proud winner of the Kent Half Marathon Over-40s Trophy.
Now 87, Sefton remains active and still serves as Junior Warden in his lodge. His mastery of ritual is truly impressive, showcasing his dedication and passion.
