I’m a 28-year-old family man, and proud to call Lordswood home. Here, I enjoy a rewarding balance between family life, community involvement, and a fulfilling career in the railway industry.

After completing my education, I pursued a career in rail and am now a fully qualified railway shunter with Freightliner.

As a mobile train shunter, I play a crucial role in the safe and efficient movement of trains and rolling stock across various rail yards, depots, and sidings. My responsibilities include coupling and uncoupling wagons, setting track points, and preparing trains for departure or maintenance. Being mobile means I work across different sites, quickly adapting to each location’s unique layout, equipment, and operational demands.

Communication and safety are at the heart of everything I do. I regularly coordinate with drivers, signallers, controllers, and depot teams to ensure each movement is carried out smoothly and securely. Working in high-risk environments—often under time pressure or in tough weather conditions—requires a calm, focused, and methodical approach.

Outside of work, I’m actively involved in the Lordswood Rugby and Football Club, both as a player and a youth coach. Rugby has always been a passion of mine. Coaching young players is something I find especially rewarding—it’s not just about teaching the game, but also instilling values like confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Watching them grow on and off the pitch is one of the most satisfying parts of my week.

I’m also committed to supporting my local community however I can. Staying active and helping others keeps me grounded and inspired in my downtime.

Recently, I had the honour of being initiated into the St George Abadan Lodge. Becoming a Freemason has been a meaningful journey. I’m currently working towards becoming a Master Mason, with the long-term goal of holding office within the Lodge and contributing to its charitable and fraternal work.
